speedometer adjustment?

is it posible to adjust the electronic speedometer on the mr2. i have a frient with a 92 jdm mr2 with a 98 third gen engine using an apexi power fc for control. the speedometer is way off and the car is comming up on jci soon so it needs to be adjusted so that it will be accurate at 40KmH. any help would be grately apreciated.
