ok in the door panels of my 89 si the seat belts have some sort of device or something when you close or open the door it clicks wtf is that i couldnt find anything about it well anyway when i have my door open for like 5 min with nothing on my battery is dead i hooked a meter that thing in my door is drawing .8 amps it should be like .1 due to my alarm i unpluged those thing and the stupid seat belt beeper and lights wouldnt go off so i took it all out beeper and bulbs does anyone know what those are in my door and does it affect anything in the seat belt i dont want to crash and my seat belt not work anything helps

The seat belts will still lock if thats what your wondering, but the buzzer will go off forever and the light will come on.

I know this because when I was once replacing my interior harness I got hasty and cut the door portions out to make it quicker..I then realized that the new harness didnt match and had to solder them back together :(

Yes the seatbelt will still lock if your in an accident.

what the heck are those things i couldnt find anything about them in my repair book and why are they draining my battery when i have my doors open

ps is there any way to tightin up my seat belts or do i have to get new ones damn people riding in my car go to shut the door and the belt doesnt recoil there gos my door panel they used to look nice

The recoil is a common problem with old belts, there is no way to adjust it. But if I remember right, you should be able to go and get them replaced at the dealership for free, but not 100% positive on that.
