scanner/programmer

I'm looking for a scanner/programmer for a laptop to cover ford, gm and chrysler. We have a very busy electrical shop in SW Florida. I have a guy we call and he comes out to program for us but won't tell us what he's using. any ideas would be great thanks

Auto Tap (www.autotap.com)or Auto Xray (www.autoxray.com/)are pretty good products.

Not cheap though.

GM has their own,it is an AC Delco program and only scan tool that is used is Gm's factory scan tool Tech 2.The GM Tech 2 is about $3600.00 and you can get one from the dealer if you can.You also need a pentuinm 4 computer for the AC Delco program.Stay away from Dell for the PC,their sevice sucks and the tech support does not speak any english at all.Mastertech made by Vetronix will program the Chrysler computers by burning the vin in.I am not sure what Ford's is.Here is Vetronix's website, www.vetronix.com I am sure there is there is a Vetronix rep that goes around in your area.
