i was thinking about putting headers on my blazer...i have a thrush turbo muffler on. my buddy tells me that headers wont do half the justice with the cat on so what do you suggest?

are headers are to do on the blazer and what kind of hp can i expect from this

also is there another way i can buy a programmer used because the new ones are really expensive.. thanks

Do some searching....look up headers for ur blazer and see what they have to say about HP

first off, don't remove the cat. its a federal offense and the truck will run worse without one. you could replace it with a high flow one. second, headers will give a slight increase in power (maybe 10-15hp) but they are really not needed unless you are going to modify the engine internals and/or add forced induction. the cost is not really worth the gain. third, headers will take about 6hrs to install on a second gen 4.3 blazer.
