Hello,

My 1995 firebird has been running hot. I changed the coolent and that didnt help and it seems the fan is not going at all. I took it into the shop and they confirened it the fan is dead.

A garage I norm trust said the fan (and plastic around it) to replace would be $250.

Does this sound right? Im having to work allot and I dont have time to do this myself, any feelings?

I had a car with a bad fan completly die on me back in the early 90s so I hate to inore this issue.

Definatley dont' ignore it

For parts and labor to repalce the fan and shroud/housing, I woudn't say it's outrageous. Definatley alot cheaper thean a fried motor (and trans as a consequence).

And welcome to AF!

You could always do it yourself and buy used parts..........:iceslolan
