How can you visualy tell if your blower motor resistor is bad other than the high speed only working???????????

If the high speed is working, then chances are the motor is fine. Look to the resistor grid - chances are the problem is here or in the control switch.

I think i just need to get a voltage meeter to test the voltages comming off the resistor and speed switch

I went to bennet auto supply today to get a brand new blower motor resistor. i put it in and it still only works on high, then i tried a different switch on the ac control as well, still only works on high. go figure, its probably a more technical problem now isnt it? i dont even know where to start looking around. i dont want to have to take it to the shop unless i REALLY have to.

well thats about impossible, the only culprits can be the resistor springs or the fan speed switch, theres nothing left
the motor is fine if it works on hi
on hi position neither of the resistor springs are used
hi is direct vltage not resisted
i would clean and dry the connectors, must be dirty and corroded
use electrical cleaner spray on them
see if they are dirty or green
wiggle the connectors around with it on lo or med setting
good luck
