I am having a heck of a time trying to get the new pulley onto a new power steering pump. I already broke one pulley trying to get it on. Is there a trick that will get this new pulley on?

I just had to do that on my 98 century a couple times. First of all get the right tools. Murrays will loan tools for free for jobs like this. If you did not use a puller to get it off you may have scored or gouged the sleve of the pully. If this happens it is very hard to get on the new pump. You must make sure the pully is sliding evenly on the shast if it is cocked you will break pully- DO NOT EVER FORCE IT-
I have a good vice and find that if I have a tough time I can start the pully with a rubber mallet and use the vice the rest of the way. Of course you will have to pad the pump & pulley with something and GO SLOW IF IT IS NOT GOING ON PERFECTLY STRAIGHT START OVER!!!
