88 Bronco II oil light stays on?

We have an 88 Bronco II with V-6 engine that my wife drives on a regular basis. She recently ran it low on oil. After over filling it by about 1 qt. Which I drained after she drove about 10 miles. The oil warning light remains on. It seems to run fine, but the light won't go off. Is it possibly a faulty sensor(I Hope). Or should I worry...
