What muffler?

Well, as mentioned in a previous thread, my muffler got fscking trashed earlier this week, and i am in need of a new one. I don't really have time or money to do a nice system, as i'm still in high school. I've thought about getting a Flowmaster 80 Series, as it sounds okay on the clip and mounts transversely behind the rear like mine, so that i don't need to change anything really. I'll probably put a pipe in place of the cat eventually seeing as here in southern utah, cat's aren't required. Any ideas?

cats are required nationally. Whether or not you have inspection is up to your state.

I'd say go with magnaflow if you're looking for a cheap, easy, good-sounding replacement

Flowmasters sound more tinny IMO. Magnaflows sound nice. Not sure how they would sound on a 2.8 tho.

a 2.8 would sound a tad better than a 3.8 since it's a 60 degree. No v8 but not too bad.

I checked the site and they don't seem to have anything for the 2.8

get a force pro series muffler from jegs, then go to autozone and buy the approprail sized 90* angle then a 1' straight peice and dump it out the back, this will be donee for less then $40 :) (force = flowmaster)
