' Sublime ' Charger

Testors Daytona charger, painted with sublime paint thanks to Model Colour Worx (gundam1969) changed rims for one of the spare sets from the Revell Escalade and added Aoshima 19" tyres, lowered the ride height using plasticard plates glued to the standard mounts and added Fujimi brake discs, it needed some surgery on the rear inner arches to get the rims under. Bonnet (hood) decal chopped and moved to cover a dark speck picked up in the 2-pack clearcoat which I'd missed till late on. Lowering the ride also meant leaving off the lower underpan as it was catching the floor. I was very dissapointed with the instructions as there were many errors and being in the UK its not easy to check out the real thing.

Nice build regardless :sunglasse
I've built one for a magazine review; I also found all those errors in the instruction manual. I'd show off the model but it's not been published yet. The extended review will be in Scale Auto Magazine before long; I tried to hit on all the basic areas of the kit and point out w/photos the areas to look at that are so horribly misrepresented or not represented in the atrocious assembly manual. The basic kit itself gave me few if any headaches. Did you figure out that it's got workable steering? That's one thing the instructions totally missed; the parts are in the kit if you know what to look for.

Excellent stuff - maybe I should have bought the Testors kit instead of the Revell Uptown one.

Damn every time I see this kit I want it even more! The rims look way better than the kit supplied ones. I am using the same rims for the caddy from that series.

Great build of an interesting car.Where Chrysler/Dodge get off on calling it a Daytona though I don't know. Its got too may doors, missing the sloped nose and the rear wing should be higher than the roof.LOL.Engines too small too.Should be 426 cubic inches, not around 350.

Just picked up the Testors version of this kit today. $29.99 ouch, but with so much detail! There were no driver side pics of that green one but the instructions show you can pose the gas lid open to reveal the gas cap! LOL
Also how many kits do you know that come with a headliner?? I agree after looking at the instructions theres a lot left out. But any good builder shouldnt have a problem working around that.
