I am looking for the size of the bolts that i would need to put a 92 VR-4 long block (if it matters) on a stand that has a arm/tube assembly that is 2" long and 5/8" in width (inside)?
I searched on here and 3si and found out only that it is 12mm X 1.75 X ???
how deep is the hole for the bolt on the block?
another question.
how can i remove a clutch and flyweel?
i am removing the 8 bolts and nothing is moving or coming off.

there are 2 bolts that go from the block into the tranny, the rest go from the tranny into the block. I don't know the total number.

the thing is that i got a long block from a 3si member and the thing came with a clutch on it and since i am trying to remove it to put the block on an engine stand.
and after removing the 8 bolts that hold the cover on the clutch nothing is moving or budging and i wanted to know the best way to get it out/off without damaging it.

if you're confident you've removed all the bolts, get a pry bar and GENTLY pry around the edges. be careful as it might fall off and hit your foot. also, you could use a rubber mallet to tap the edges to knock it loose. notice the alignment dowels. its probably these that are holding it together, still.
or check here http://stealth316.com/2-trany.htm. look at the pics. 8 bolts hold the flywheel on.

and it appears the pressure plate is held on with 6 bolts. pressure plate should come off easily, if not, use a pry bar. clutch disc will fall out with pressure plate.
