sleepy, those are the stock tailights that come with the P11 Primera. We have infiniti's so ours look different. If your lucky, you can find someone in the forum with a Primera that would trade ya for your lights.

Check the classified section. European P11 tail lights were listed there.

in my opinion neither is better
put a stock 5 spd in the hands of a amateur its equal if not worse to the stock auto in anyones hands
put a modified tuned auto in the hands of anyone with a heavy foot and its better then any person with a stick of the same car reason being the margin for error and timing on a human as oppose to a computer wich switches close to readline every gear everytime perfectly in sinc

now if you are serious about running the car to the max then u go to supertuned auto tranny
if you are serious about just figuring how good you are running the car then go to manual

the common myth in this world is manual driver is a better driver then people who have auto

thats bull look if you cant drive you cant drive
if you can you can

for example i'm left handed so i would be more confortable on a right hand drive car but ohh well so i do my thing with the right hand when i go overseas and drive a rent a car right hand drive its nothing just drive that way to the max then as far as the gas pedal i wish the gas was to the left and the brake was on the righ but its not so ohh well i just to the max that way i wish the clutch was in the middle it would be more confortable for me being left handed but ohh well just do my thing the way it is

my point is if you can drive you can drive regardless of auto or stick and all that crap

for example you put some looser who cant shift in a manual acura nsx and put me in a automatic honda civic u think he will beat me hell no but if you put that same person in the auto civic and put me in the manual nsx i'm out i'm not the best but i will be out!!

point is finally its about who u are not what u have remember you drive the car the car dont drive you

here i go babbling again
lol

I wasn't going to enter this discussion, but that is BS.

The slushbox soaks up a great deal more power than a manual gearbox any day. I'd also bet I can shift as quickly and smoothly (probably smoother) than a slushbox - especially a performance slushbox.

It is no myth that a manual gearbox outperforms a slushbox.

The only slushbox I've ever heard of in racing that has outperformed a manual gearbox is one that was on one of the early Chaparral race cars built and driven my Jim Hall. It is so secret that to this day (35 or so years later) he has not revealed how it works to anyone. Nobody has since duplicated his feat.

Besides all this, auto trannys have a "longer" ratio, it's not the same 4 gears, as most of auto trans. comes, to 5 or 6 gears on manuals. That makes lot of diference on maintaining speeds.

Of course, give a rocket to a person that does not know how to shift, and you can be in a horse, and beat the sucker!!!!!

If you don't know how to use the stick, stay on the autossssss!!!!

yes to the guy who replied about the slushbox yeah you are right manual is better overall for someone who is serious about their performance driving

lets just all remember that its all about the person and application

forget all this bickering i dont want to fight about wich is better for those with opinions i would like your opinion on the way technology is going now in days what is your point of view of the new triptronic technology being applied in modern day cars what do you feel their potential may be

wellwell, seems like not many people know anything about gearboxes. First the automatic gearboxes with torque-converteres.. these ARE slower then a manuel and they soak up a lot lot of energy, but the upside is the deliver verry smooth transitions. It's a luxe-thingy, that's why mercedes uses them. Then you have the automatic gearboxes like ferrari uses in their streetcars. These are essentional (verry simplfied look) manual gearboxes with a hydrolic or an electric operation. You can give a command with pedals on the steering wheel, or with a "joystick-kind" of gearlever. Those gearboxes are as fast as a manual or faster. Don't say it's not true look for information about them. Some of them change gear in 0.2 seconds. And they do it EVERY TIME in that speed. Then lastly you have the manuel.. It's the most fun... I would NEVER buy a automatic. I want to drive, I want to decide when I change gear and if I fuck up a gear change I want to be blamed.. There is no fun in pulling a leaver and let the computer doe everything itself. And if anyone want to know what the best kind of racinggearbox is. A CVT. Continues Variobla Transmision. Williams tryed dome years ago one on there F1 car and the car was SECONDS fatser then the normal car. The FIA quickly outruled such kind of gearboxes.. The bodemline is: there is no "best" gearbox" Everykind has it's own goal, it's own advantages and disatvanteges. But I would take the manual everyday.
