Vinyl tops

So I been looking for a Caprice for some time now, but every single one I find has the vinly top on it that I hate soo much. I'm wonder would it be possible to take the top off? Cause I'm looking at one right now that I might go get Monday and it has the Vinly top. Or should I just be patient and wait for another.
