I have a 02 and the rear license plate light (left side) only works after I tap it. 1) Is there a quick fix other than die grease? 2)How do I get the assembly out to replace the socket if necessary?

Thank You

The clear domes are held in place by screws. These lamps take a beating with with the slamming of the liftgate. Usually a bulb reseating will fix it. If the lamp holder needs to be replaced you have to pull the interior panel off the liftgate to get at the wiring.
