my boyfriend has given me his 1973 nova....307 engine with 2 barrel carb needs a rebuild, carb needs rebuild, had a small engine fire, so i have to replace wires....and its a 4 door, not a preferred 2 door...i believe its a Custom

anyways, I name my cars.....since this poor thing couldnt even have been sold for $200 where he lives, I want to name it Phoenix (or variation thereof)- rebuild= rising from the ashes....

any opinions on it?

i do know pontiacshad something called the phoenix:icon16: but it looked more like an unholy mating between and oldsmobile cutlass and a nova....

also, im looking into the possibility of either rebuilding the engine, or just getting a 307 longblock motor....anyone selling one for about $800?

Name it piece of shit because that's what it sounds like.(JK) I don't name cars because Chevy has already provided my car with a name which is Nova. Call it Novacaine or Christine.

I name all my cars too. Not on purpose i just call them names.

1982 T/A = "Bucket". I dont know why, just BUCKET.

1997 Crown Victoria = "Cabbie". Its not a cab its THE cab.

1972 Pontiac Catalina 400 = "Scooby Doo". Cause thats what color it is.

Hmm a girl in a nova...

AVON (thats nova spelled backwards)

BTW... For 800 bucks you can get a good used motor for about half of it, and spend the other 4 on wiring or whatever else it needs.

Good luck and welcome.
