I know that I haven't been here for a while and that you guys usually talk about whatever in this forum, but I am trying to get this forum back on track. If you want to talk about movies you can post that in off topic...you'll probably get a better response if you put posts in the forum they are intended for. Not trying to be an asshole or anything.

I think inferno doesn't understand that talking about street racing movies and street racing parts and strategies are all relevant to the forum.

ok all the threads are closed. something about restoring greatness well i didnt find anything wrong with the fast and furious threads nor alot of the other threads you closed. granted the fast and furious threads were kinda lame. there are pleanty of threads you missed that arent closed that are way off the subject. just because you dont think its good enough for your tiny part of af.. the crowd here need some way to relay messages to be heard by everyone other then the few topics we are provided. some of them realy arent about an actuall race but they have to do with the lifes of street racers. police, tickets, ect..

The fast and furious was an insult to real street races, but I won't even get onto that subject. The reason why I am closing the threads is that this is the racing forum, not off topic. The threads I closed belong in off-topic. If you want them open so bad, I will re-open them, but they will be moved to off-topic. Thank you for your imput.

look mod some threads that got closed were ok like about wings and spoilers and shit. but some were all about street racing cops tickets and shit and they got closed..

Thank you for the spelling correction. I can see why it was important for you to point out that I accidently hit the m key instead of the n key right next to it. Since you are correcting my spelling, why not use punctuation and not use fragment sentences? Thank you for your iNput.

First off, it's not up to you do decide if The Fast and The Furious was a good movie. Regardless of it's failure to provide a movie that is exactly like "real street races" it was still a movie about street racing.

Secondly, why shouldn't he have pointed out your spelling error? You are getting so picky with what can be posted up in this forum. I'm surprised that you haven't made a stipulation that anything typed in other than the "Queen's English" will be closed.

By the way you accidentally heald down the shift key when you put the "n" in input.


I have a solution for this problem:

Why don't you post a poll and ask what everyone wants to see in this forum.......We can then vote on just having kill stories, or talking about cops and racing movies also if we want. Since it is us who post here anyways.

First off, like I said, I'm not entering the discussion about The Fast and The Furious. I stated that and am not talking about it right now.

Secondly, I feel that if he was going to play school teacher and correct my spelling that he should at least form a proper sentence and use punctuation.

That is a nice suggestion, but I believe all of the different forums on this bulletin board where made for that very reason. Most every subject that relates to cars has it's own forum and then there is always Off-Topic where you can discuss anything.

Well, that is pretty simple....racing or racing related stories. The Fast and The Furious threads were borderline but after reading the original posts and the responses to them, I didn't think that they really applied to this forum. I re-thought the cop post as you can see and re-opened it without moving it. I'm sorry if I upset anyone, but I am trying to get it back to the glory days at PH. Also, someone mentioned previous threads with bashing and arguing...I only bothered with the threads that were recent. As long as those other threads don't get bumped up, I'm not bothering chasing them all down.

Well if making the Street/Track Racing Stories forum about street and track racing only kills this forum, then yes, I will be able to claim that I personally killed this forum.

Well a little variation is not going to murder this forum. People are responding to the threads, racing or not. If they also didnt approve of them, they would say so or not respond at all.
The Fast and Furious thing actually spawned from some of the racing threads mentioning F&F so there's a little justification there.

Some of the threads may belong in other places but it's not going to kill anyone if somebody puts one in that doesn't strictly pertain to an actual physical race. Without the varying threads, this forum would be a lot smaller.

I understand your point of view and know exactly what you're trying to do and your intentions are the all for the best. But do you see all the people getting upset over what you're doing here? If they really wanted it the way you do, they'd condone your actions, not revolt against them.

anyways. a poll would have been nice and fair warning would have also been nice. and the bit about restoring greatness didnt mean jack to anyone..
there are quite a few people here all post post frequently, so closing everyones posts who post here on a daily basis is dick.

Lets state facts for a second:

1. I am the moderator of this forum.
2. I am allowed to moderate this forum how I see fit.
3. You have every right to complain because it isn't how you want it.
4. Your complaints are not going to change my mind.

The fact that I have even given you audience to complain should say something. I COULD just close down threads and not say a thing, but I have decided to give a heads up. The other topics can just as easily be posted in Off-Topic so I don't understand why you don't just get over it and post those subjects there. The only reason this post is even open still is because I am letting you vent your opinion.
