releasing air

Hi,i was wondering if there was a way to release the all the air out of the airbags or when the car is off all the air is released,because when my car is not running it is the same hight as it is when its running,im new to this air ride,i was just courious on how it works...thanks for the info

The ride height should be constant no matter how many large persons, 5th wheel trailers, full or empty fuel tank, groceries, etc you put in or take out of the car.

Sensors monitor the Ride height and run the compressor or vent the system accordingly.

Allot more happens behind the scenes, but that's what happens in a nutshell.
One safety measure, the system wont vent (lower the car) while any door is left opened.

Of course you can shut the system off and vent the bags, but that's not normal

Take a jack and lift the car a little one wheel area at a time. After a few pumps, you will hear ( PSSSSSSSSSSSSS. . . . .) as the air is releasing. You've opened a valve that will release all the air. After lifting all four corners of your car, you will have found " a way to release the all the air out of the airbags."
After reading your post, I'm still not sure why you want to release the air as it will put your ride square on the pavement and render it useless as it will not steer without tearing the fenders off the front in my humble opinion.
Let us know if I am wrong.

jrcook if your car isnt sittin on the ground.....and we meen this literaly not metiforacly...everything is fine.....hehe.....member when i got mine tc and i didnt know anything about it?......ya sure do learn quick......i feel so growed up.....lol.

No Dave... the Conti's come with Air on all four wheels.

IC, the Conti that I owned was a 1971 and it was plush but no air shocks. So the new Cont's come with air ride suspension. I loved the one that I owned it was a great ride and fun. Check out my post : http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=689484
