I found out that my car has had the trasmission changed in it i do not know for sure if it is still an Si trans the guy said he had somthing changed in it when he took it to Germany but was not sure what is was. so how can i tell what trans i have in my car. he said he had to have it done so it would run faster on topend. and the computer was also changed.
? 2 on the ZC motor that i just purchased we think it had a auto trans on it are the cams diff from the 5spd trans i have heard yes and no. and if so how can i tell if the cams are for the auto or the 5spd.
i know i am just full of ???????? but hey i am still new at this import thing this has 4 less cylnders than anything i have ever owned till now.

lol, fuk v8's :) j/k, well... first, to find out if u got an Si tranny is look where on the block of the engine, where it days d16a6, then look to the left of that, and thats the tranny, if its an Si tranny, it should have a letter "L" then a bunch of nonsense (letters and/or numbers). But the "L" is how you know if its an Si tranny or not...
I dont think that the cams would be different if its a auto car.... but let someone with more ZC knowlage back that up.....

I know in a B16 the auto cams are less radical than the manual ones. Not sure about ZC but I would assume Honda would do that to all the autos as a rule.

wasn't there a post by someone that said that all of the stock 88-91 civic/crx/sedan manual transmissions (Si,HF,DX,STD,EX) were labeled "L3".....they posted pics of how to tell which one that you had. there are stamps on the trans case/bell housing.....i think it is simliar to the "LSD" stamp on a JDM Y1 trans w/ LSD.

Theres also a stamp in the bell housing by the passenger side axel, if it's an Si there will be a circle stamp with PL3 in there.
