How much pinion angle will a doublecardan joint make up for in the rear?

IM having a problem setting my pinion angle with only being able to move the tranny up/down..The driveshaft specialist put a double cardan on and IM still getting vibrations up top 80mph verry bad when i piish the clutch in..
But as soon as I let the clutch out a tiny bit and put some torque on everything it goes away immeditly.

It sounds like a super severe backlash problem or a super bad u joint.Def coming from the rear half.

Is it like the front angle can be off alot and so can the rear if you use a double cv cardan joint? Or does it still need to be set to a certian degree?

Btw IM in a 95,I did an aode to tko 500 swap,IM using a d/s spacer and had te d/s balanced and the cardans on it .It made a huge improvement from 0-65mph but up top is horrid and worse.

Maybe with the new tranny location you have to use adjustable upper control arms to adjust pinion angle? I know thats how I adjust my pinion angle. I set mine to -1* but I have all solid mounting points in the rear. If you use the stock arms with poly bushings then I think -3* or so is what you want.

I get the concept..Believe me.

I brought the car to get the angle fixed.
And the guy decided to make a drivesaft w/doule cv joint on one side and said thats gonna take care of any pinion angle issue!!!

I cant see how.....the cv joint is up front

That wont correct the pinion angle..
That will just cause drivetrain issues like you are having now. Get a regular driveshaft and some adjustable upper control arms and you should be just fine.

I agree

Now as long as my pinion angle is the same as my tranny im good?
Then give the pinion a little nose down right?Like 1 degree
for climb/load?

I got poly upr double adjustable uppers.

Are you sure that double cardan isnt gonna be ok if I set my angle right?

I read that the 2 regular u joints balance eachother out like counter wiegths almost.

Oh.......Whats the max operating angle? 5 or 3 degrees?
My tranny is pointing down severly lower than a stock trans.
Its incredibly lower.
THE THHING THAT GETS ME IS.When i put the tranny up it just wouldnt correct it no where it was at..I went from a 2 inch spacer having the tranny jammed against the tunnel....Down to 1.75,1.5,1.25,1.00,1.75 etc etc all the way down to no spacer and it still wasnt right.
Do you think the arm(which I have on my pillow:) will make a different angle than moving the output shaft up/down??
Thanks

Well if you have adjustable uppers with bushed mounts just set the p/a to -3*.
