This is the upgrade spider injection for your Tahoe http://198.208.187.182/internet/ViewPartImage.jsp?acdelcoPartNumber=217-3029
This can be purchased at any acdelco parts store (see www.acdelco.com). Looking at www.rockauto.com, they have it for $340.99 (ouch!).

:grinyes: I just replaced mine this week. My 99 vortec sprung a leak on the intake gasket. I disassembled to find corrosion on the lower intake surface where the leak occured. I have a friend who owns an auto garage. He ordered a spider from the Chevy dealer and I got his discount $290.00. Not bad for the latest technology. It also comes with a new regulator and o-rings. The old spider was really nasty and was leaking under the plastic plenum. If your lower intake is corroded and you don't replace it when you do the spider, you may be taking it all apart again in the near future??? If you replace the lower aluminum intake get an extra large tube of RTV because the one that comes with the intake gaskets doesn't sufficiently fill the gaps. Take of few pics of your hose/electrical routing and it will help alot during re-assembly. Break all the wiring free and tie them up as high as possible. I had alot of trouble trying to remove the lower intake without removing the valve covers (they needed new gaskets anyway). If you do plan on replacing your lower intake let me know and I'll give numerous pointers.
Oh by the way...I noticed a big difference in power and throttle response with the new spider also NO MORE VALVE CLATTER:grinyes: !!!

Has anyone replaced this and found it got rid of a P0300 multiple missfire code and fixed a stuttering or hesitation?
