Asking for Help

I wanted to first say that I have enjoyed this forum immensely, and although I never contributed much in terms of build threads, I come to this forum almost daily, and will continue to do so. On to the help part. I am having a fire sale on eBay due to the fact that my wife and i are splitting up, and she has decided to take me to the cleaners. Don't feel the need to pity me or say you're sorry - it isn't necessary. These things happen to everybody.

I have many kits in my collection that I hate to part with but it is necessary. I have many Lancia kits (Hasegawa/Esci/Heller), and many rally kits from the usual suspects. I have some F1 kits, most 1/20, some 1/12. I have some transkits (Renaissance/Racing43/KEN's) and aftermarket (P/E) parts. I also have a few 1/43 kits. Some will be auctioned together, some individually. All my paints and supplies will also have to go.

Now I know that we are not all wealthy people. If I was, I wouldnt need to do this. I just wanted to give everyone here a heads up, since we all share the same passion. I hope you can help. The auctions will begin this Sunday. The entire collection will be listed over several weeks, always beginning on Sunday afternoon/evening, US East Coast time. My eBay user ID is disomma. Damn, but like you said, it happens to everybody. I too have ben through these trials and they stink. But at least you are positive.

I know you are going to post them on ebay, but what is your username? What kinds of things trans kit wise will you have? Mind making a list, cause I am always looking for trans kits and kits I don't have. Thanks.

you might want to list the kits in the "classified thread" here... you'd probably be able to unload a lot of them quickly at fair prices without taking a hit in eBay fees.

Sad news... But you have to do with and if I can help I would.

Why don't you offer direct purchase possibilities to us whereas Ebay would cost you fees ?
Do you really expect all models prices to grow up ?
Do you have a list of you rally kits/Trankits/Aftermarket stuff ?

I agree, I'm sure you could get a bunch of sales here, why not post them all in the Classifieds thread before you ebay them?

thank you all. the reason i was going to ebay it was because the market will dictate itself. i could list some stuff here, but i would need help as far as what they are worth. i have to take the kits out of storage so i can list them. here's some off the top of my head.

All 1/24th ? Some of these kits are very often on Ebay and don't find buyers...
What would be your prices for delta safari 91 and Red bull TK ? (1/24 or 1/43 if they are)

i'd be interested in knowing what Tamiya F1 you've got, in both 1/20 and 1/12.

i think if you posted 'em here and explained your situation, people would be fair in pricing. no one here is out to screw anyone.

and gio's right. i've been through a divorce, and i won't tell you it doesn't suck, but it WILL pass.

Thank you all for the kind words. i have tried to stay positive about this from the beginning, although i think the worst is yet to come. As far as the kits go, i will post the entire list in the classifieds. i have pictures of everything, so just pm me if you need to see them, although nothing is that rare that anyone here wouldn't recognize it. As far as prices go, i will post what i think is fair. If you have something different in mind, let me know, i'm flexible.
