Ran a search on the www.contour.org forums for someone who had the same problem.

In case you dont know what the dpfe sensor is or what it looks like, ran a search for that for you on www.contour.org forums as well.

I would ask future questions there or just search for them there. Theyve all been asked and answered before. ;)

Whoops, just noticed you had the zetec.
Heres where its located on the 2.0L. Im guessing both engines use the same part number though, so at least you can get an idea of what it looks like in the above link.

I changed the DPFE and EVR and still have the same codes, also have new exhaust system (catalytic converter), old exhaust had broken pieces inside of it, I want to find something before changing anything else, I did put vacuum pressure to the EGR valve and the car almost shut down, stumbled. On the road with diagnostics running the EVR shows that it open under the DCL Data function. Timing belt was pulled due to the water pump leaking and now have new pump installed and noise coming from the timing belt cover after reinstallation of the belt. This has been a great vehicle up to now, I bought it new. I did touch the hose going to the EGR valve from the EVR and it was extremely hot. I plan to recheck the timing belt with my cam shaft tool as soon as I get better weather here on the east coast, rain today and I have to do all the work outside (no garage). I have no water in the oil but the temp is extremely on the high side, maybe the timing is off causing it to run hot, I plan also on checking the thermostat because the upper hose is hot but I don't feel the surge that you normally get when you squeeze it, any suggestions, thanks in advance

Well I did the timing adjustment with the cam tool after the water pump change and car starts fine but still has the codes 335 & 336, the CEL comes on when driving car and does not go out until you shut off the engine. Disconnected the hoses that go to DPFE to see if they were clogged or leaking, no problems detected. Reinstalled hoses. Any ideas, have changed a lot of parts with this ongoing problem. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
