Do you ever get it running long enough to drive it or does it continually 'backfire' and stall?
Is you timing good? What is your mileage?
When you say you need to jump it to restart is does that mean that your battery does not have enough power to start it?
Try this too. manually reset the computer. Disconnect the battery and turn the ignition to the start position three times, re-connect the battery and try to starta again.
Need more info....

Yes, a bit more description would be helpful.
You could have a bad battery, battery cables, Crankshaft Position Sensor, or you just might need a new set of plugs, plug wires, and cap and rotor.

It runs but if it idles then it wont run again for 30 mins or until someone jump starts my truck and when I try to start it after it has idled the it backfires and stalls. I dont know about the timing or even how to check it. I have over 200K miles. I dont know about the battery either it looks like it is a good battery. If you have any more questions let me know.

terah01- What these gentlemen are seeking are CALM, and ACCURATE Descriptions of your problems... Even though you might not think you know that much about the siuation, (cars/trucks) You are the only one that knows the most about this one!
Without your help, we're not going to be of any use to you... (Much less getting ripped by a 'shady' mechanic!)
You've mentioned more than once that, "'she' won't run for 30 mins or until someone jump starts my truck"... This is an odd circumstance that needs a lot more detail in order to resolve the problem. I'm sorry to tell you this, but you're going to have to spend the time or pay for the work.. It's up to you.
