OBD2 / canbus

Looking to buy a scan tool....need some feedback.
Anyone have a favorite?

Alot depends on what you want it for or expect of it. is it going to be just for checking codes and clearing them, on your own car/cars, what models, do you want to see more parameters, sensor readings, etc, do you want it to do bi-directional controls? Lot of cheap code readers, that can do just that , read codes and clear them, or you could step up with a laptop or palm and go the autotap, autoengenuity route. major scantools, snap on, otc, the stuff dealers and shops use cost big bucks and big bucks every few months to update.

First, I'd like to thank you for the reply Heavy.....what I'm looking for is obd2/canbus with real time data. Body electrical, ABS isn't a major concern for me, but also not really interested in laptop route....just an all-in-one quality tool. If anyone has some experience, (good or bad), the input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks....Happy Motoring!

I have a Autoxray 6000 that I use for most of my checking, code clearing, have a snap on mt2500, but use the autoxray the majority of the time because its quick and small and gets most of the info I need. buddy of mine has a small Equus scanner, seems happy with it. wasnt near as expensive as the autoxray or the snap on i gave the link to above, not sure on the price but it works pretty good for him. Thats about all the actual practical experience I have on them.
