I have a 94 Accord EX and the fuel gauge seems to have stopped working. The needle won't move at all. What things should I check and what things are typically the problem?

Won't move at all. Is it indicating full, empty or somewhere in between? Could be a fuse, sensor, gauge or wire connecting everything. The first test after determining it is not a fuse, is to disconnect the connection to the sensor in the gas tank. There will be three wires, including one ground, one to the low fuel light and the last to the fuel level sensor. Disconnecting the connector, should cause the gauge to go to zero. If it is already there, shorting the wires- black to the other wires should cause the low level light to lite and the fuel guage to go to full. If it does, the sensor is bad. After your test, get back to us.
