3 insh vs. 2.5 inch

It's time for a cat back system and headers. Im def. on a budget so i'm goign with pacesetters from ZZP (i'll cross my fingers on the leak problems). My delema is abotu what cat back kit to go with. Originally i was thinking SLP, but i'm pretty sure that;s only 2.5 inch. What r the advantages of going with a 3 inch kit like ZZP's? Considering i only have around 300 hp at the crank (before the headers and all is on) would it be a waste to go with a 3 inch kit?

It appears you've modified the intake for more flow, so a 3" kit may be a good idea. No sense getting all that air in if it can't get out.. True, it may be overkill now, but what about future plans?
