Exhuast

What would be a pretty loud exhuast. I want my car to sound something like the fast and furious eclipse ( I know most of you guys hate the fast and furious)I want that street racer tone.

I drove around for about 4-5 weeks with NO muffler on my car. It sounded bad-ass, even tho it is only the li'l d15b2, but it still sounded great. Any of those cheaper bee-can style mufflers should be plenty loud. You could buy a glass-pack type muffler too...those have very little noise deadening design to them.

I noticed I really drove the shit out of the car with no muffler on it tho. :bloated:

Get a stinger pipe like the ones they put on old drag racer vw bugs. Kinda like an open pipe that connects to your header that looks like a trumpet. You can also do a side pipe, routing a pipe to either side just right in front of either back wheel with no resonator what so ever and just a straight pipe from the header.:flash:

My exhaust broke off right behind the cat and I drove around for a week like that. All the guys I worked with who were into the fast and the furious sounding cars thought it sounded badass. I thought it was kinda annoying, but maybe thats cause I was the one driving around in it. But if ya do that it will be plenty loud. Mine actually set off a couple of car alarms.

That is exactly what happened to mine, except it broke off at the flange near the rear 'axle'...and i set off a few car alarms too - LOL! :cool:

When I was in high school I had a Subaru with a stinger on it. It had NO muffler, just the resonator with a pipe straight up the middle with the stinger on the end.

When I crash the car I kept the stinger. It ended up on my Capri, then my Toyota 4x4 truck and finally it rotted away.

Haha...before I got my thermal my exhaust broke off right after the muffler and all the packing blew out. Plus the muffler had rusted through the bottom. It was loud.:D I had the exhaust held up with a bungee cord for a few weeks until I got my catback.

well, if u want rice, get custom piping right before the cat, that means NO CAT, and get a canister style (bomb) exhaust and dont use the silencer...... thats pretty much it....
