Electronic O/D

I have had the O/D light start flashing on the dash board. I have read that the light is an indication that there is a problem. Well the transmission shifts into OD and runs good. I see no difference other than the light blinks. I even have OD when the button on the shift is pushed....but the light still blinks. Can someone explain what problems this is?? Thanks

It means you have a tranny code. It could be a sensor that is out of wack and the tranny is recognizing it. Run a scan test and see what it says.
