If he was in New Brunswick then it explains a lot - Heep isn't NB like the Canuck equivalent of Tasmania, Norfolk or Pitcairn (home of the inbred families). Or is that Prince Edward Island or... Nova Scotia... or (shudder) the home of the Quebecois (shudder)....

Haha, in between cities it's like that, but I guess that's the same with most places. Fredericton is a fairly clean place, not too inbred or anything :D
Remember, I'm from NB ;)

Yeah I know I was fishing for a bite... BTW I was a fan of Canadian Music for a long time - I've seen the Tragically Hip (yes in Auckland), the vegan dude with the shaved head who writes treatises on peace in his CD sleeves and also Live in concert as well as owning some more obscure stuff. For instance, do you remember a band called the Artificial Joy Club? They spun a CD out in 1997 and the lead singer was a chick named Sal (she wrote some songs for Alanis on Jagged Little Pill I think).
The reason I mentioned it was that I found the CD tidying up in my office and I was listening to it - I think the single was 'Sick and Beautiful.' I think Sal is in a covers band in Ottawa these days...

Hmm, never heard of the last group there. I love Canadian music though, so much of it is so good and doesn't follow trends. David Usher (solo stuff) and his band Moist are pretty well my favorites, although Bran Van 3000 is way up there too. Barenaked Ladies are getting on my nerves lately, but Avril Lavigne is good. There are lots of good Canadian bands that I can't think of right now....
