2002 dakota no spark

i can't seem to get this dakota started compression is at 120 all 8 cyl
timing is okay the only thing that i don't know if there is any spark this a 4.7 motor how would i check if there id any spark this one does not have a coil i don't think 'm getting any spark thank u

You are right it doesnt have a coil it has 8 coils.You could unbolt one of the 8 and pull it off the spark plug,leave the wiring hooked up and if you have a spark tester or even an old spark plug you could plug it into the coil and try cranking it over.Just remember if you use an old spark plug,you have to ground it
