Battle Royale!

Well last night musashi, his wife, jin, myself, and bushido went out to a little car meet. It was okay, nice turn out, some idiot but what can you do? Well Musashi, his wife and Jin decided to leave early and I stayed a few minutes after.

I had taken the jetta last night cause I wanted to test out something, since it seems we are going to keep it longer i bought a boost controller to prevent the car from overboosting which makes it go into limp mode, I figure it would help from anything else bursting. So I restricted the boost to 19 pounds and when i tested it the night before with bushido we found that the most it could go without a problem is 21 pounds, but 20-21 pounds is pushing it so we lowered it to 19 and that seems to be the magic number. The car holds it at 19pounds in 3rd gear all the way to 5K rpms and then at redline, which is 7k, it drops down to 16 pounds.

Well anyways, when I left me and bushido ran into a car team that was there. The team consisted of 2 '06 STi's (with mods) A MK3 Supra turbo (With Mods) RSX Type-S stock and a '06 Mustang GT stock. We all get to a red light and everyone starts revving so I decide to join in since im mixed up in it anyways. Light goes green and the entire area fills with screeching tires, I finish first and Im keeping up with them, 2nd comes and the white STi along with its less modded counterpart shoot off the white one backfiring in the process, I manage to get past the stang by half a car and the RSX is falling fast behind. The supra kept with me and the stang. through half of 2nd the two STi's had put about 4 cars on me, the stang, and supra and that's when it happened. All of a sudden I heard an exhaust start screaming and the supra took off as if me and the stang were standing still, he caught up to the STi's and past them putting a bus length and more on them as if they were in slow motion. As we got closer to the next I had almost a car on the Stang. We get to the light and I got to join in on the caravan all the way home.

I look at bushido and tell him "I feel like takumi when his dad owned him in the subaru in Takumi's home territory, Especially since this was mine, being close to my office and all."

Even though i was owned by the subies and the Supra That was awsome.

Ehh, you beat a 06 Mustang GT????? Thought those cars ran mid 13's at over 103mph. Dude must not know how to drive, but good run nonetheless.

probably cause we all freaked out when that supra took off on us like that. Th stang was probably trying the supra and ignoring me and when the supra took off he was like screw it, and when he noticed me it was probably too late.

Hey, just because I say what what most ppl think about you doesnt change the fact that I love street racing as well as reading about others racing.....You have a couple of really nice cars all though one is a little overexagerated but that is why you got the 8 to compensate. I understand.

Keep up the good racing. My guess is we should get alot of good stories real soon since the weather has been really nice. 74 degrees in Columbus today.

I promise you the jetta isnt over exaggerated, the only way to prove it would be for you to see it in person, i could do a video, but I dont have a camera and you guys might think im altering it in some way.

I'm sure we will all be at the track at some point soon so we can see your times.

I know I am going to get at least 4 runs in before I start to mod so I can get a good base line to start and hope to see my improvements. I also think I'll get it dynoed stock. 3 pulls for $85 :dunno: . Hope its worth it...

Anyways... your car besting an '06 Mustang GT is a bit much, he must of not known what he was doing at the controls. Even an average driver should be able to stay with you and pull ahead eventually just do to more overall power and torque. And a skilled driver should be able to have little to no problems at keeping you behind them.

Good run nonetheless... not everybody is a pro. Which is why sometimes the faster car isn't always the fastest.:thumbsup:

No it's not that I thought he was making fun of it cause of the "ramjetta"... part with the elipses at the end. My theory on the stang was that he gave up after that supra just ate everyone, cause by the time the mustang slammed on it again to catch me we were at the light at a stop.

I bet the Supra had everybody's jaw dropping. Mustang GT could've been an auto maybe?

haha yeah, probably more for the mustang though cause i saw him move earlier and knew i wouldnt win.

You're not going to need a whole lot more power to keep up with one on the open road as you are now, I'd say about 15-20 more whp should do it. The trick is trying to keep up with one from a dig. If you even just half way know what your'e doing the new Mustangs can come of the line like a missle. They really were setup nicely for launching. Night and day coming out of the master of wheel-hop that was my Cobalt.

nice group race man. bet it was a blast. reminds me of the times when my cousin had a jbody. just put busses on people because he could launch correctly.
