Does the Grand Prix some stock with Double Platinum plugs or singles?? Just wandering. Thanks, and the plugs have never been changed on my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix SE 3.1 V6, with 112,400 miles on it. WOuld you guys say that they are ready or what?

I believe they are single platinum, not doubles. I never get more than 85-90 out of my platinum singles. I am at 80 right now with my doubles and they are still good.

Do you notice a difference when you put new plugs in? or is there really no noticable difference, and do double platinums make a difference?

When my original singles started to go, the car started running erratically. One things I've noticed is that when Platinums start to go, THEY GO. It's instant, not as gradual as the old style plugs.
I can't say I've noticed a performance difference with doubles, however, I read somewhere in this forum that they should last longer than singles. As it is, I plan to install new plugs & wires in the next month.
I used to wait until things went. Now I change things proactively according to a schedule. I depend on my car heavily, and can't affored to push it. I have 160K, and she's running great.

The OEM AC Delco spark plugs are double platinum.
Post the number off the plug.
