any guesses on top speed?

lets say, hypothetically speaking that i have a 1995 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD with a swapped in Mits GSX engine in. It is turbocharged along with CAI, Exhaust, 550cc injectors, and many other mods.

with all this combined the car has around 300 hp and 300ft.lbs of torque.

almost forgot automatic tranny.

how fast do you think this can go? and what do you think some estimates on times would be? 0-60, 0-100, 1/4?

the car is for sale, and i was gonna buy it...but i was just wondering if you could make any guesses to give me an idea. i am gonna ask the guy..im not that stupid lol. but jw what you would think it would do. i know what i think. i just want to know if i am stupid for thinking the car can hit 175 easily. haha

It can reach 80 mph quick enough and thats all you need :rolleyes: ..but with the auto tranny, I doubt it it'll hit 170+ :wink: Who knows though, maybe it has NOS man.

i have a 92 TSi AWD. i hit 110 mph in 4th gear bonestock but ran out of road.. it was probably 1/2-3/4 mile straight away..if that gives you an idea

TSi has a mitsu engine already. 4g63 FTW.

175 is out of reach. Speed limiter is set to about 132 on these cars. ECU controlled.

You are stupid for thinking the car will do 175. You'll be lucky to get 140-145 out of it. And the TSI AWD has the EXACT same engine as the GSX. Either way, buy the car, otherwise down the road you'll be wishing you had.

Actually the 420a doesn't have a speed limiter. I guess they thought it was so slow it would never get that high. Go figure

First of all, why does top speed matter so much to newbs? Are you seriously even considering doing 175mph on the roads if it would actually do it? That is the type of mindset that causes accidents and kills people... Seriously, its just straight up retarded to do anything over 80mph on any given road...

Now if its gonna be purely a track car then thats a different story, but I'm willing to bet its not...


As for the speed limiter, the AWD models do not have them...

yeah^^^i agree. 170mph is just stupid crazy in a dsm. you dont need to go that fast unless you're seriously going to die in the next 2 days. but i've gotten up to 88mph and traveled in time.

I actually built a flux capacitor in my car and attached a huge pole to the roof. I then ran a line across the street and sped up to 88.8 miles an hour. Once I hit it with enough power going through the line, I went through time and space into the past, or back to the future, whichever I perfered.

My 95 gsx does not have a limiter. I did the max speed thing once when I only had exhaust, intake, mbc, and my mut turbo at 16psi. Did 145 in 5th @ 7k rpms. anything above 120ish is ridiculous and stupid. 170mph is way out the picture for you.
