foglights

I had a question about the foglights too, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to rig the foglights up so they are on when either no headlights are on or when the parking lights are on? Thanks for any help!!!!!!

I won't encourage this often illegal and always annoying modification.

offroadx, it can't be too illegal if the new ford rangers come where u can have your foglights on with your parking lights or with headlights. They have that option right from the factory!!!!!


But is the modification really hard to do or did u just not want to explain it?

I was curious about that law myself, so i checked it out.

I did this mod. The instructions were posted on XOC by ElektroKen a couple of years ago. Basically, you buy a new relay from radio shack and soldier a jumper wire between two of the pins. I can't remember the details, but will pull out my modified relay and refresh my memory if you can't find the instructions. Also, I have a 2000. I think that the procedure was different for 2001.

I have a problem art, i went to the site u told me too and my fog lights didn't work. when i hooked it up so the parking lights would work with the fog lights my fog lights aren't working and my right headlight turns on when my parking lights are on and my headlights work fine. Can anyone help me to know what i did wrong who has done this mod.

ok, after i submitted i went and looked at my X again, i didn't change anything around but now when i turn the parking lights on just the parking lights come on, and same with the headlights, and highbeams, now all of that works fine. However the foglights don't work at all, when either the parking lights or headlights are on. I'm not sure whats up. So, for now i just put everything back the way it was and will mess with it later when i get some answers. Thanks for any help!!!!!!!
