I wanna know how to cut a trunkdoor of this piece of plastic without trashin it.. please comment and give me some tips or a tutoral.

to make it open ud have to do some fancy hinge work...but if u didnt paint the plastic u could just make it stationery and then be able to see all the stuff in the trunk since it's clear.

here is the plastic modeling tutorial section (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=215864), there might be somethin about hinging doors in there. u can also ask the folks in the plastic modeling section since they usually always have to make their own hinges for the plastic models

I have allready done it, with a metal saw it doesn't look so perfect unfortunately, I'll will post a pic tomorrow maybe

to cut the plastic.. use a hot knife.. or.. use a dremel tool.. cut it slightly larger than you need.. and then sand it perfect.. if you use a hack saw on the plastic it will run the risk of cracking.

Your best bet probly would have been to start with cardboard, then once you've gotten the right shape and a perfect fit, finalized with the plastic. As for hinges, they can be done any number of ways, the way I make hinges are a styrene tube, and an aluminium rod. If you like I could sketch up a quick picture of how it works for your application.
