Boost Controler

If I were to buy a boost controler with my upgrades including K&N filter, new Y-pipe, cat back borla exhaust, walbro 255l fuel pump, HKS SSQV BOV, and 3sx fuel fail loop, how much boost could I run safely??
What would be the next upgrade to be able to run more boost on the stock 9b's??
I am currently running about 13psi to redline about 14psi peak(well the stock boost gauge needle just goes to the top so im not too sure but around there.)

15 psi is about the max effeciency of 9bs. On top of that yes the fuel pump will help but you need larger injectors to run more than 15 psi safely.

what size injectors would be a safe size for stock 9b's

staying with the stock turbo's turning the boost up is just going to dump tons of hot air into your engine.. 15 psi is the most i would really want to run on the stock turbo's.. but thats just me you can turn in up.. maybe go with some 450 eclipse injectors.. or some 550 if you want... if you do injectors your are going to want a fuel controller (apexi afc or somthing like it)

^^ Yes, and you'll want to invest in an aftermarket boost gauge because the stock one sucks. It calculates boost based on engine load, not actual vacuum pressure.

You are currently not runnin 13 or 14, you are probably closer to running 10, unless you've done the free boost mod and are up around 12.

You have a 92, so if you are even thinking about turning up the boost, and havn't bought a datalogger for your car, I personally think you have no business touching the boost. Datalogger should be the first mod EVER if you are a first gen. You guys can log for knock, I would KILLLLL for that ability.

After you get the datalogger, you get an aftermarket boost gauge. Once you have those 2 things, then and only then, get a boost controller. Saying 15psi is safe is a guess..and it's dangerous and I try to avoid saying it, even more so because you don't know the climate the person is driving in, or what octane they consider premium. I know I've knocked at 15psi on 93octane...I could feel the timing getting pulled by the ecu. If you are on 93 or 94 octane, then yes 15psi is probably safe. But thats just a guess. With a datalogger and a boost gauge you can find our for sure what is safe on your car. Because every car is different.

i wouldn't run anymore than 14.5 PSI on stock turbos, regardless of what fuel upgrades your using. If you want to up the boost higher, look into upgrading turbos. Depending on what kind of power your looking for will depend on what turbos you get. If your looking for just a little bit of an upgrade, the 13Ts are the best bang for the buck IMO.
