Actually, there is someone on this board (can't remember who) who has a dash-mounted switch for their VTEC. They said it's just temp until they get a RPM activated switch or something.
That's funny as hell on a ZC though! :D

actually, its me who has there vtec switched, i bought a nice gt grant steering wheel that has aux. buttons (not for horn) and until i can get a rpm switch im using my nirous buttons for my v-tec.... all the people who ride with me think i have nitrous because my z6 looks alot like the old a6 (plus the valve cover doesnt say vtec)
its funny shit, one kid actually searched for the lines under my hood, and searched for the bottle throughout my entire car...and was dumbfounded.....what idiots!!lol

i had a vtec switch too but it wasnt mounted. it was just some hokey ass little switch that i held in my shifting hand hehe. then i bought a rpm activated switch and i must say, its much better being able to concentrate on driving rather tahn looking at the tach to tell when to hit "THE BUTTON"

lol, or your could tell your friend/passenger to hit it for you! and he can pay attention to the tach while you drive....

think about the RPM activated switch for a second...
all it does is send out a 12v signal to the vtec solenoid right?
no the correct ecu for the vtec motor does not just send 12v to the vtec solenoid does it? no it adds fuel as well.
so i wonder how good it is for you to just have it bust vtec without fuel maps that change for vtec...
