I am looking for info/experience with electric brake controllers.

Which is the best one to get and why?
Which one is a good middle of the pack controller?

I am installing it on a 2001 K2500 8.1L with towing package. Trailer will be ~5,000 to 6,000lb.

Thanks!

Prodigy is the best. I have the Tekonsa though. <---RV dealer installed.

I have a Tekonsa also on my '04 Tahoe. I believe it's "cheap to middle of the road". It fits my needs.

I just bought a 99 burban though, and have some questions also. I know this truck isn't prewired for plugging in a brake controller and I've heard the wires are somewhere near the master cylinder. I'll look for that.

The truck has a regular 7 flat pin plug for the trailer. Can I just buy an adapter (if one exists) to plug in the 9 pin round plug from the RV or do I need to cut off the 7 flat and hardwire in a 9 round?
