1992 issues

i recently did an engine swap...v6-v8..it's a 1992 sierra 5 speed..had a 4.3L and i replaced it with a 5.7L..i put the v8 computer in and it always wants to stall.., it has the v8 throttle body.., i dont know what else to do..it really lacks power too..anyone have any ideas?

I did a total overhaul years ago with a Camaro that had the ECM, TBI and such....BUT when I did the swap of all the parts, I put a carburator on it and got rid of the ECM and all its parts and sensors. It ran like a bat outta hell.

If your gonna do an involved job like you did, why not get rid of all the computer controlled "crap" on the engine and go old skool.....just my opinion.

As for your actual problem......many a many of wires, sensors and settings that could cause problems.

oh yah?...what sensors do i need to get rid of, and would the spedo still work and everything?
