Evening. Been working on my '98 GP GT for a little under a year, and i have yet to find a sollid point to lower the car onto a pair of jack stands. Ive got a new downpipe coming from zzperformance.com and i really dont know where there is a good spot to set the car onto the stands that will leave enough room to still fit the jack down there to get it onto/of off. Where do you guys lower it onto, and if its not too big of an inconveniance, pictures would be very much helpfull.
thanks as always,

How about the front lower control arms or the front of the floor rails?

Look at page 5-31 of your owner's manual. It has a picture of the jack lift locations on your Grand Prix. If you don't have it, the manual says, "For jacking at the vehicle's front location, put jack lift about 6 inches (15 cm) from the rear edge of the front wheel opening or between the two bolts as shown." As shown depicts a set of bolts on the rail behind the front wheel that has space between them for the car's scissor jack head. An FYI for the rear wheel. The books says, "..put the jack lift head about 5.5 inches (14 cm) from the front edge of the rear wheel opening or just behind the off-set as shown." The jack head is depicted being placed just in front of the notch and behind the off-set located in front of the rear tire. Clear as mud? :)

Absoultly clear, and thats where i've been putting the jack, but i need a seccond place to put the jack stands, thats far away enough that i can use the jack to lift and and be able to slide the stands in too. Sorry if i was unclear before.
