Where, in the trunk, would I find the key pad codes?

mine was on the right support bracket that holds up the trunk

if it is missing from the bracket in the truck it is also inside the driver side door panel on the module itself.

PS: After you open the first door, #3 opens the rest, #6 opens the trunk, 7/8 9/0 locks 'em all.

Do you have the whole list of features installed, including
Memory seats and mirror?

You can set personal entry codes now that you have the permanent code.
For example, my wife is short and lean... I'm tall and... less lean.

My entry code moves the seat back and sets the mirrors to my size, her entry code moves the seat up and fixes the mirrors to her size.

Also, once that's done (set) the remotes can be had with MEM1 or MEM2 (stamped on the back) that do the same thing as the personal entry codes. I keep remote MEM1 and my wife carries remote MEM2.

To begin with my newest vehicle is a '98 Dodge diesel truck, then a 93 'plain jane' Toyota pu. I've not had a "Luxury" vehicle since a 1966 Cadillac, so know nothing about all of this stuff in them now.

I'm getting too old to work on cars myself and a state pension and SS doesn't buy much of a car but I wanted some comfort and reliability and looked for quite awhile before I bought this '95 TC Signature. I just bought this car about a month ago. It is very clean, no scratches, dents or broken/chipped windows; new tires, no tears or rips in the seats or floors. It did have 166k on the clock. I got it for less than 3K, knowing there were a couple of problems: No 4 ways and only hi speed fan on the heater/AC.

There was no Owners Manual in the glove box so I ordered one on Ebay. It is used but looks brand new and is for the right car. But...there are some things that are in your book that are not in mine, such as the Homelight
Entry System.

The key pads were well explained and after I got the code it programmed in a code for me and one for my wife (small & thin) and me (obese), but said nothing about adjusting the mirrors or seats and it doesn't seem to do so.
Also, when I push the inside button to adjust the seat, it does not adjust the mirrors.

There are things on the car I didn't even know it had and almost everything - that I know of - works. I have an appointment tomorrow (3/13) for the mechanic to look at the TS and flashers (I must have TS!!). Down the road I'll have the blower on the heater checked, the automatic heat control does work. The RH outside mirror does not turn in or out but it does go up and down.

There is a few more problems than I originally thought, but as long as it's nothing major I think I can handle it. I LOVE THE CAR!!! I just hope the electrical doesn't nickle and dime me to death.

Wow, sounds like you have a real fine Town Car.. someday you'll have to post a picture or two.

RE: That blower on high.. you can fix that very easily with a soldering iron. I'll give you more details when you're ready, or you can search "Blower Speed Controller" or "Blower Speed Control" in these Town Car forums and get a few hits.

Basically it's like this; there's a large can-type transistor mounted to the Blower Speed Control circuit board that wasn't soldered properly from the factory. When you solder it back to the circuit board, the controller uses the transistor to operate at speeds less than high. This DIY method saves you about $80 + labor for a new controller.

The Speed controller is under the hood, behind the passenger side valve cover, mounted to the HVAC box. Due to it's orientation directly behind the valve cover, it's awkward to remove the two plastic threaded mounting screws, but it can be done, and it's well worth the time.

RE: That mirror motor; might just be a gummed up control switch or loose wire. It is possible to remove the glass without ruining the mirror, but it's tricky.. do it wrong and ka-blooie. There's a write-up on that one somewhere if you ever get to that stage, doesn't sound like an extremely high priority.

I'll shut up now - but first;
Setting the drivers seat, with the mirror adjustments. I'll just blurt this out, no need for a response.
1) Before hitting the desired memory button, adjust the drivers seat to desired height, tilt & position. Then set the side-view mirrors to the desired positions (obviously your RH wont work yet). Now set the Memory button.
2) Repeat #1 for each memory button

If you set 'em up before the memory is set, the recall should move the seat and mirrors ('cept for your RH till it's fixed :) ).

One more thing... if you have a windows based PC, I can send you the 1995 Factory Service Manual in CD format, it's not MAC compatible. There's actually two CD's; one for 1995 Cars (all Ford, Linc, Merc cars in 95) and one for basic service data such as wiring diagrams, troubleshooting, EVTM, recalls, TSB's, etcetera. Just drop me a PM with mailing address if your interested.
