I have a 92 GMC Jimmy 4.3 Liter V6 Vortec. Lately I've noticed that if I'm idling for more than a minute or two at a stop light, when I accellerate the car sputters and barely speeds up...once it gets out of first gear, it takes off and drives smoothly until I stop and idle again (during these episodes the engine idles roughly). It does not do it every time I stop, but it has happened consistently enough for me to be concerned. My service engine light did come on, and I'm going to take it in to have that checked out, but I'm wondering if it may be sediment in the gas or something other than that? It just feels like I'm not getting enough gas through. I'm not dumping fuel as I've kept a close eye on that to make sure it's not my plenum leaking.
Would it be wise to maybe try a fuel injector cleaner as well?

It may be the nut kit, the 2 lines going into the intake, only way to know is to take off the intake plenum, if you have washing on drivers side, bad nut kit, if on pass side, bad fuel regulator. Have you checked the fuel pressure to make sure its fine, I know the vtecs need high psi around 50-65? You can try to change fuel filter to see if that helps...dunno may need to take apart to see whats going on. I did it, took me awile per im not really mechanically inclined. All I know its not cheap to take to shop $800-1200. Thank god the owner of my bravada did this already, would hate to do again. Let us know what you find. Hopefully this helps if anything was wrong in what Im telling you someone else with more knowledge of this will help as well that is why I like this site :)
