Has any one experienced a passenger side water leak in a 2004 or newer? My car leaked when the snow flurries melted on the window throughout the day. Is this the same kind of leak that is described on the previous model GP? I'm going to check it in the morning. Any insight would be grealty appreciated.

I have the same problem with my '04 GT1. It started leaking last week during a rain storm. The water seem to be dripping down from the windshield. I could see half way up the carpet in the front footwell were there was a long line of water (2 inches) and the rest of the carpet from there was sopping wet in the lower part of the front foot well. The weird part is, my back footwell also was wet with water. Looks like time to haul it off to the stealership.

I would guess that it's likely the same problem.

Do any of you have a sunroof/moonroof combo?
When I got my GTP the dude said if I get water on the passenger inside, (this is not to be confused with water on the passenger floor, like an evap/heater core leak) that I will need to clean out the channel in the sunroof/moonroof.
Now I havent had the issue yet and havent even seen it, but check it out.:)

Great question! In my case, I do not have the moon/sun roof option installed on my GT.

I dont have a moon roof/sun roof either and it was also all the way in the back on the passenger side. The oem warranty is over and the Pontiac service guy said $175 just to start looking for the problem. It's a GT2 with everything except the monsoon, nav and moon roof.

very common problem in the '04s, the cabin filter needs to be changed and you need to clean the leaves out of the duct above it... the '05s and up got a rubber flap installed on them which prevent this from happening, this happened to me right after I got my gtp...
autozone.com has one for $11.99 its part # P3720 and its made by Bosch, easy to change...

I can't believe I found this info...isn't the internet great. Now, to clarify for a non-car person.
My car leaks when it rains. The front passenger floor is wet and sometimes the floor behind the passenger seat is wet. To fix it, all I need to do is replace the cabin filter? Isn't this a part that the quick lube places always try to upsell you on? Or is that something else?
Thanks for this info, my car is soaked this morning!!!

YES!
they will rip you off, the part they want $40 for, you can get at autozone for $11, and its EASY to install...
also make sure you clean the duct, its probably full of debris...
