transmission question

okay i have a b16a swapped into my 91 civic si and i have a YS1 tranmission now i knwo those trannys have bad sycrons and mine are fucked through 2nd 3rd and 4th. but if i had the trany rebiult woukld it do this again? make everything week? is my b16a over powering my YS1 cable tranny.

Well if you get it rebuilt at a reputable shop they should be able to fix it. It will most likely cost an arm and a leg though. Its not that your B16 is too powerful for your tranny (you wish), your tranny was probably f-ed from the start.

Depends. Rebuilding it could cost anywhere from like a few hundred to over a thousand. See if you can find another cheap tranny for sale thats in good condition and swap it out.

do you recomend buying the same cable tranny (YS1) or buying a diffrent kind of tranny like the (Y1) or what?

Youll be fine with another ys1, get whichever you can get easier. There isnt really a particular honda trans thats more prone to synchro wear, they all suck at it lol.
