emission code help

ok i run a pontiac association and one of my mebers wrote this today. im not sure on the year but she has the LS-1 and i know its the 98-02 range so if i could get some help on this issue ill pass the word on to her, this is the message she sent me.


Well, I'm about to have my license suspended over jerk off emissions.

I failed :( I get pulled over all the time, I can't get rolled with a suspended license.


How do I fix these 2 codes:

1416 - Air System Bank 2

P0161 - 02 Sensor/Heat Circuit malfunction - Bank 2.

Anyone?

The first one is manufacturer specific, it shouldn't fail it for emissions...though it is the AIR system....so I could see how it would...check the air pump and lines on bank 2...might just be related to the O2 sensor thing though.

Second one is probably just a bad O2 sensor, or the wires to it. Replace the O2 sensor, clear the codes, see if the other code comes back.

Either the bank 2 O2 sensor is bad or the heater circuit for it isn't working.

The other one did not show anything.
