Keyless entry control module

Could anyone please tell me where the keyless entry control module is located on a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP? The car is absolutely loaded with everything, but I'm told it doesn't have keyless. Blows my mind. I was also told the I can add the keyless module and that there would be a plug not used in the trunk under the passenger rear deck. But I don't see one anywhere in the trunk, pulled the carpet and everything. So when I get the module where do I put it. Thanks in advance for any help you all can give.

Welcome to AF.

The keyless entry module is better known as a remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR). As long as I can remember if your Grand Prix is equipped for it the RCDLR is typically located in the dash. In an area behind the radio and climate control unit.

It is not uncommon for '97-'03 model Grand Prixs to include GTP models not to have RKE from the factory. Check your SPID label located on the back of the trunk lid and look for GM RPO code AU0.

The other issue is even if you were to find the harness and install the RCDLR you will need a body control module (BCM) that supports it.

Hey thanks for replying! Sounds like the better way to go would be with a remote starter that includes keyless entry. A few less headaches that way. And living in wyoming it'll come in handy!!
