can someone please tell me how to get the grille off my 91 jimmy?
i've undone the 4 screws in front, but the thing won't budge.....
i need to access the hood latch cause the cable broke and i can't get the hood open to do other things that need doing....thanks

You have to have the hood open to remove the bolts that hold the grille. You will have to use a long screw driver or a stiff wire to hook the hood release and open the hood.

yeah, i finally got it! what a pain, now after i replace the broken cable (the ball end broke right at the latch) i can continue to change the water pump,
but i do have another question, if the water pump is faulty, does it affect the fan clutch? there's a leak there somewhere and i'm pretty sure it's the pump,
when there's coolant in it, it runs fine and does not over heat.....

Usually not, but a bad bearing in the fan clutch will cause it to wobble and can cause the water pump to go bad.
