If it's noisy, the bearings are probably going out in it. How many miles on it?

You are nearing the 100,000 mile mark, so I'd change it along with tensioner pulley and timing belt.

The hardest part of installing a UDP is getting the stock crank pulley off. After that, you can bake the UDP in the oven at about 400-425 degrees and it will just slip on.
Cam gear is pretty simple as well.

I use a wooden dowel rod, about 3 ft long & 1/4 inch diameter. I put one end of the rod onto the part I want to listen to, like the water pump housing or close to it, and I put the other end of the dowel rod against the mastoid bone, just behind my ear. This way I can listen for bad bearings, etc. Ideally you would listen to the bearing before it begins to go bad, so you can tell what a good bearing should sound like. Of course be Very careful with the end of the stick near the moving parts.
