Got car running perfect, 20 miles later oil light comes on won't stay off.
Been a while since oil was changed. Any thoughts?? Oil pump failure, or just sludge build up?? Can oil filter plug up??

Well how long has it been since your last oil change?
I have known people who never change thier filter or oil ever. Of coarse thier cars ran like poop, and was always breaking down, and consumed lots of fuel to boot.
How do you know you have no oil pressure, you have a guage ? These dont have a stock oil pressure gauge...........
Thier is an oil reset button in the drivers side fuse box.(red)
Your oil change light will come on when you have driven aprox 6000 miles, since the last time the oil was changed and the reset button pushed.
hope that helps.

I know it has no oil pressure because the oil pressure light came on. I killed car and coasted into parking lot. After 5-10 minutes started it, and oil pressure light will not go out. Going to change oil and filter after get car towed home. It has been some time since I changed oil. I know, I know. Ever heard of an oil filter plugging up?? Hope it is something that simple. thanks for the advice.

Yes a filter could plug up and so could several other places inside the engine, this is not good.
Might try 2-3 oz of seafoam motor treatment (http://www.seafoamsales.com/motorTuneUpConsumer.htm)in your oil when you change it.
This will help clear up those passages internally and if your lifters have been tapping it should clean them up as well.
The 16 oz can of seafoam usually runs about $8-10.
It only takes a small amount 2-3 oz isnt much.
You can add about half the can to your gas tank to clean your fuel system too.
Good Luck
