Yet another dragster.

Yeah, I've noticed I make alot of dragsters....but I don't think I've done a CRX yet, so here she is. You guys only get 1 photo for right now.

What I've done so far up to this point is, well, the motor...seeing as that's always what I build the car around...and I've started tubing out the front end, it's about half done. Then once that's out of the way I have the interior to deal with..not gonna be easy...then last but not least, the suspension...no comment.

I want to keep up the progress photos, but they look like crap...so I slow down...

Here's a shot of the tail-end. Some of you might have noticed that the exhaust exits out the rear of the car, and still through a muffler. Your probly thinking "It's a dragster, why not just go out the side of the car? And why the muffler?" Answer is it's a Pro-Street class, meaning it has to keep a street legal appearance. :)

What cars do you get them from, and where did you acquire the turbos?

2 cars, around $20 each. The engine came from a Hot Wheels Tuners Integra, and the turbos come from Muscle Machines 350Z, NSX, and Silvia.

eBay will bring up all you'll need. :)

Well, I have updates!
I've finished tubing out the front end, and I'm about to toss a color on the body, not really sure what color I should paint it, I'm all ears.

Now...to work on the interior. x.x

A purple 8 second CRX should be sexy, I might even riddle it with sponsor stickers, who knows.

Yeah, it's finished, just need a new windscreen, should be cake to make one.
But yeah, it's purple, I asked for any reccomendations, noone said anything, so I just went with purple.

Haha, not Viking purple, it's a deep purple with a little sparkle, I'm not sure I like it to much. But I do like the idea of a copper color, and I'll get photos up as soon as I can get a decent one out of my phone.

The front clip I spent...literally HOURS making for this car...doesn't fit...

Well, the problem is, it fit BEFORE I put the slicks on...
The slicks just so happen to be HUUUUUUUUUUGE...
But oh well, I'll have to cut and re-shape, no biggie.

I'll try to get photos, I might just have to take crappy ones with my phone again.

Oh, and the purple was annoying me, so it's primer black again. Just untill I can get my hands on some Copper.

but damn.. that thing is coming along very very nicely.. looks beats with them slicks up front.. should have converted it to RWD.. but that would have been alot of work.. LMAO..
copper seems to be a very good color to do.. I can picture that car copper.. and its looking good in my head!

Yeah, I modeled it after a CRX I saw at my local track running 8.2, it was just primer black like mine is now, but I want some color on it.

And a cage is extremely neccesary. o.o

In this photo you can see one of the subtle modifications, I deleted the back windows. :)

Well, I got anxious and layed a new layer of paint on it, now it's a nice vibrant red, I kinda like it, might keep it, unless I find a nice copper color.

Well, only news is: I accented the lower panels, window bay, door handles, and the fuel door with a nice coat of black, looks real nice with the red.

And I removed the wing, dunno why, just did.
